DALLAY
Dallay is the name of a Habanero chilly which is mostly found in the north eastern part of India and also in near by countries. It is known for its distinct flavor and spiciness.Headed to this place for trying something different other than Momo from our own north eastern cuisine.
Being a vegetarian there are very limited options to try out.
SHORT REVIEW:
Service-3.8/5
Food-3/5
Ambiance- 4/5
Parking- Problematic specially for 4 wheeler s.
Order: Veg Phallay and Wai wai chowmein.
Verdict: Only going for momo trial.
Wallet size: Decreased by 220/-
LONG POST:
Understaffed; in terms of service but, the man who was serving and taking orders was courteous and swift enough to do his duty.
Order:
VEG PHALLAY: Two huge stuffed flat refined flour based breads deep fried served with green chilli garlic chutney.
The filling contained lots of chopped cabbage and onions with a little salt. Not my type.
Very bland in taste and just a tummy filler.
WAI WAI CHOWMEIN: Description said it was special Nepalese noodles. As soon as the order arrived seeing the quantity i was shocked, it would just not be enough even for one. Taste wise nothing extra-ordinary it almost tasted like a Maggie which would be literally cooked in 2 mins. The same masala except few veggies, some dallay and topped with chopped onions and cabbage(the same mix of the phallay)
The orders which were ordered by neighborhood tables too had less quantity,so did not take a risk to go for more.
Finally left the place with no reviews asked no thank you said.
Will go again to just try their momos as they are having great reviews on it.
Lets see if they can satisfy my tasty buds.
*note: based on personal visit and my personal experience. No offence for any outlets. I pay my own bills.
